If you haven’t been in one, it’s important to watch this video and understand that abuse is not always physical, and sometimes so slightly under the surface that it is barely apparent.

I watched another video I also found on The Greatist a few weeks back about emotional abuse and it really hit home for me. I once was in an emotionally abusive relationship. But I’m far from alone; 1 in 4 women finds themselves in an emotionally abusive relationship at least once in their life. 

Emotionally abusive partners are difficult to deal with, and even harder to leave. Emotionally abusive relationships shatter self-esteem. If this hits home for anyone else or reminds any of my readers of their own relationship, I encourage you to reach out.
